Packaging for Microsoft hardware has had a successful run for many years, communicating quality in a traditional tech language. With the next generation of Surface products and accessories, Microsoft wanted to change the visual language to more accurately reflect a key brand proposition — Microsoft’s seamless, elegant integration of hardware and software experiences.
The new Surface packaging promises a premium product experience with its simple and elegant cover displaying only a foil windows logo and its crafted box design which neatly displays product documentation and accessories. The new system also personalizes the experience by offering four rich seasonal colorways.
