Outrigger Resorts & Hotels has built a long history and enjoys a great reputation as a locally-owned and operated chain of resorts in Hawaii. Since the 1990s, the company has expanded into eight other nations, with luxury resorts in Fiji, Thailand, and the Maldives. Outrigger needed to refresh and elevate its brand to reflect its status as a global chain of 5-star resorts.

Just like the ancient Polynesian tradition of voyaging, exploring the vast ocean around them in outrigger canoes, guests at the Outrigger properties come from far and wide, sharing in that same joy of exploration.



Outrigger hotels have always been known for their beach bars and entertainment, so we updated the brand voice to give both copy and illustration styles a fun and playful personality.


We focused on brand imagery and storytelling for each location. We curated a new photo library that captures the beauty, life, and culture of the eight different nations Outrigger Resorts call home and crafted a fresh, bright, and natural palette featuring colors from the sea, sand, earth, and sky.



Platinum is Outrigger’s new paid membership program. Members get discounts on resort stays, exclusive access to local experiences, and premium upgrades for hotel amenities. The new logo uses a key cleverly combined with a palm tree to show how you can unlock unique experiences in these beautiful locations.





The health of oceans is intricately tied to Outrigger’s success. Outrigger Zone is an initiative that preserves and protects the land, sea, culture, and people that surround the resorts by focusing on coral reef restoration and preservation. A new logo for the initiative reflects their commitment to the beauty and health of our oceans.
